Zero Discharge Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC)
Setaş embraces continuous improvement as a principle to minimize harm to the environment and human health. In line with this goal, Setaş has joined the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme as of July 2020. By doing so, Setaş is committed to supporting the program's vision of working in transparent and active collaboration with over 30 leading brands that are driving industry - wide change through sustainable chemistry, innovation, and the broad implementation of industry's best practices and responsible chemical management.
The ZDHC Foundation assembles brands, manufacturers, dyestuff, and chemical suppliers in the textile, leather, and footwear industry under the same roof leading the industry towards reducing the usage and disposal of hazardous chemicals, simplifying the supply chain, and promoting best practices according to industry norms.
Leading brands and dye - chemical manufacturers establish strong collaborations and share these practices transparently in order to minimize the effects of hazardous chemicals on the environment and human health. This serves the development of the supply chain by making improvements with "Input - Process - Output" examinations.
Setaş carries out these examinations (from raw materials to the final product) in the production process through reliable and accredited laboratory tests. Setaş dyestuffs and chemicals are certified with bluesign®, GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), or Screened Chemistry® program Standard for Textile Chemicals, thereby contributing to the achievement of brands and retailers' sustainability goals.
